The Enlightenment day of the Buddha is considered by all Buddhist to be one of the most significant and auspicious day in the year.
Sachen Trust made fruit and flower offerings on this special occasion. The offerings were displayed in front of the large Buddha painting at Sakya centre on 10th May 2017.
Bodhisattva is a person who through immense compassion has vowed to save all beings from suffering before attaining Enlightenment himself or herself. The taking of Bodhisattva vows is the most noble act and gift to the world. On 5th April 2017, renunciates and lay devotees gather together to take the Bodhisattva vows. Sachen Trust offered flowers on this magnificent occasion to the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, deities to commemorate this event.

During 8-10 November, 2017, Sachen Trust participated in the religious prayer sessions which prelude the cremation ceremony of His Holiness Dagchen Rinpoche on 11 November 2017. Prayers and supplication to HH Dagchen Rinpoche for his swift rebirth to come to benefit all sentient beings are performed, with hundreds of monks and devotees coming together to rejoice and dedicate the merit of the positivity that arises from this to each and every sentient being who are lingering in the world of suffering.

Since 11th November 2016, Sachen Trust purchased candle and lamp supplies and commissioned light offerings to be done regularly. Through the practice of lamp offering, defilements and negativities of the world are purified, light and goodness are enhanced in one’s daily lives. Sachen Trust pays for the cost of lamp offering on these days, together with special prayers for auspiciousness and good fortune for all beings.

This ritual, for overcoming obstacles in one’s spiritual path and one’s life, was performed by monks of Sakya centre, where prayers, rituals are performed for the removal of obstacles and success in all beings’ activities, leading to peace and happiness.
Sachen Trust sponsored tsog (feast) offering on 24 September, 2016, at Sakya centre on Vajrakilaya day. During 11-23 September, the Sakya centre monks performed the Vajrakilaya grand puja—a powerful religious practice of the Vajrakilaya deity for the eradication of spiritual and secular obstacles in people’s daily lives, thereby enhancing all positive forces and qualities for the well-being of all people. On the last day of the Vajrakilaya grand puja, Sachen Trust sponsored and offered tsog to all monks, nuns and lay devotees who participated in the puja, promoting happiness for all sentient beings.
Tara, the goddess of compassion, is practised by all Tibetan Buddhists for the removal of life’s obstacles and for the accomplishment of one’s wishes. Sachen Trust sponsors snacks and food to nuns, devotees and visitors who participate in the daily recitation of the Tara ritual, may all beings accomplish their wishes and may all beings be happy.
